Onboard Systems Receives Malaysian Certification for Airbus Helicopters H120 (EC120), MD Helicopters 600N, and Robinson R44 Cargo Hook Kits

Onboard Systems International, Inc. today announced that several of its cargo hook kits have been certified for use in Malaysia by the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) on a variety of aircraft models, including the Airbus H120/EC120, the MD Helicopters 600N, and the Robinson R44 and Raven II aircraft. Validation letters were issued for the installation of Onboard Systems cargo hook equipment covered under FAA STCs SR00525SE, SR00892SE, SR01795SE, and SR01808SE.

“We’re excited to receive these first certifications for Onboard’s cargo hook equipment in Malaysia,” said Karsten Lemmon, Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Onboard Systems. “The approved equipment will make it possible for our Malaysian operators to install external load equipment on their helicopters and take on external load missions using the latest safety technologies available.”

The newly certified cargo hook kits for the Robinson R44 Raven II include the TALON^® LC Keeperless Hook Kit (P/N 200-327-00) and the TALON LC Keeperless Cargo Hook Kit with Onboard Weighing System (P/N 200-327-01). Optional upgrade kits approved for the Robinson R44 Raven II include the Model E-83 Pin-Style Onboard Weighing System (P/N 200-340-00) and the Remote Hook Electrical Release Kit (P/N 200-396-00). In addition, the TALON LC Keeperless Cargo Hook Kit (P/N 200-326-00) for the Robinson R44 aircraft (12 volt) was also approved.

The TALON LC Hydraulic Cargo Hook Kit (P/N 200-308-00) was approved for use on the Airbus Helicopters H120/EC120 aircraft. For the MD Helicopters 600N, the TALON LC Keeperless Cargo Hook Kit (P/N 200-264-02) and the Cargo Hook Attach Point Kit (P/N 200-231-03) were approved for use in Malaysia.
